Your Big Break?

We are seeking submissions from entertainers (all genres are welcome) for the upcoming Mayor’s Cabaret.   Sound of Music Festival is pleased to be a part of this event on February 24, 2012 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. The Festival is leading in securing the entertainment which will feature a variety show with acts in many entertainment genres. The event will have a local flavour and preference will be given to local artists/acts. The deadline for submissions is December 8, 2011. For information or to purchase tickets, click here.

And for those with budding artists at home, stay tuned for our next free music education workshop series, “Taking it to the streets” coming up in March, 2012.  Our November 20^th workshops filled up fast.  Be the first to know by liking our Facebook page and signing up for our newsletter, or contact musiced@soundofmusic.ca and request to be put on the mailing list. This year-round community initiative is geared to children under the age of 12 to encourage and foster a love of the performing arts.  There is no cost to the workshops for participants and instruction is led by some of Burlington’s finest music and music theatre professionals.
